Trash the Dress - Liz and Mike

Talk about a fun session!!  I met them down in Galveston early on a Sunday morning before it got really hot down in Galveston.  As I got there early, I decided I'd stop by the Micky D's for a little caramel frap...big mistake...that was the worst and slowest macdonald's I've ever been to. It took them 20 mins to get my drink!! How long does it take to make a frap!!??  Ridiculous..
Luckily things markedly improved as Liz and Mike showed up and we headed to the seawall.  Liz changed into her dress in the back of Mike's truck. Can you believe she put on a wedding dress in the back seat of a car??!! How crazy is that??
We stayed around some piers and jetties.  I've always wanted to take pictures there and finally found a bride crazy enough to go there and be adventurous!! It was so much fun being out there on the sand, rocks and finally in the water!!  The water felt really warm!! We started will all the dry land shots on the lifeguard stand and jetty first and then we headed to the pier to get closer to the water.  After much ado, we finally had her stand in the water.  Light there was awesome at that time of day!! She was a trooper b/c some of the waves almost knocked her over and she only fell once or twice but she got back up!!  Mike was so funny and they kept the mood so light and funny.  As I was taking pictures of her in the water, I naturally was in the water with her and as I crouched down for a shot, a wave hits me in the butt and my shorts are completely soaked. I should have brought my board shorts for this event..That would have been smart!!  Anyhoo, we finished with some of them lying in the sand.
We finished the shoot there and then headed to a restaurant for some drinks and food since we were all starving after having so much fun in the water..
What a great day at the beach.
Here are some images from that session!!

Stephanie and Justin Wedding

These images are way overdue but with my recent hectic travel schedule I haven't had a chance to post these up.  Stephanie got ready at this awesome new hotel in the Market Street area in the Woodlands called Hotel Avia.  Talk about a sweet hotel, the decoration inside was so modern and chic, I could have been there all day taking pictures!! Unfortunately, I didn't get all day there.  I captured what I could with each of the girls and I got a couple of Stephanie before we were ushered by the limo driver to head to the Church.  The wedding itself was at the Fellowship of the Woodlands Chapel. it was a really hot day outside when we took pictures of all the girls.  They were all sweating profusely, as was I , so we had to do everything very quickly!  Gotta love Texas summer heat!!  I wish so badly to have Cali weather, no humidity!!!  Justin just received his commission so he was wearing his dress whites, which is always so sharp looking. He has been commissioned to Norfolk VA so they will be U-Hauling it to VA soon after the return from their honeymoon!!  Anyhoo, we got some really awesome images at their reception place, Augusta Pines Country Club.  The clouds were so awesome along with the really blue sky!! I love images with great skies!!  I hope you like them!!
I will be postings some images from my recent wedding in Puebla Mexico very soon!!

Stephanie and Justin Engagement!

This was the first shoot this friday of a long weekend of shooting for me!! Talk about being crazy busy!! Had a shoot on Friday, Wedding on Saturday and three shoots on Sunday, on Mother's day of all days!!  I even had to schedule time with my mom in so that I got to see her for a little bit.  Of course, I'm not complaining!
On our shoot on Saturday, the morning looked a little overcast and I think Stephanie was a little worried since we had to reschedule from last friday when it rained all day! Once the shoot started, the sun came through and everything looked awesome. Justin showed me a new part of downtown that was really cool. Thanks man. I always love finding new areas to explore!!
Here is a slideshow of their pictures!!

Graduation Pictures!!

This time of the year, all the Seniors are trying to finish up their finals and dreaming how great it would be to finally graduate!! I remember how excited I was to finally graduate.  After 4 years of engineering school, I was ready to be out and making some money. It's such a great time in your life as you're on the cusp of the big next step in your life with so many possibilities ahead.  I love talking to seniors, whether it's a senior from HS or college.  They are always so excited about what lies ahead that you can't help but get excited with them!!
This week, I did some graduation pictures for one of Krystal's friends from U of H.  She's graduating in about a week or so.  I picked her up from her place and we actually just hung around the area near her place and found a plethora of really cool industrial areas in which to shoot.  We started out incorporating her dog in some pictures first. He was so cute and well behaved!! She even donned a graduation hat on him for a couple of pictures.
When Krystal told her that I just drive around until I find something cool to shoot, she didn't really think I really actually do that.  After we stopped off at a couple of really random spots, she was like, "you do really kind of just drive around and shoot wherever".  She saw some images from my camera and then was finally convinced that these crazy backgrounds do look really cool!! Well here are some images from her shoot.
There are some more pictures posted on my facebook page!! Go there and become a fan!!

This is her Graduation announcement that we did for her May 14th Gradaution!!

Debbie and Tim Wedding

Northgate Country Club - Tim and Debbie got married outside at the beautiful Northgate Country Club under the new Gazebo just built days before their ceremony!!  The weather was absolutely perfect, albeit a little windy but that's to be expected when  you're out on the golf carts driving really fast!!  We grabbed some carts and explored the grounds with the couple after they had their "First Look".  They decided to see each other before the wedding and take that opportunity to take a lot of their couples pictures all prior to the wedding ceremony!! I love it when couples want to see each other before b/c we then have so much time to take awesome pictures of them together without the pressure of waiting guests.
It was reall cool to see Tim get married. I have known him for about 6 or 7 years now since we both worked at Baker Hughes together.  We've both have left that company now but we kept in touch and he gave me a call when he was getting married. It's fun to see your friends get married!!
Well here are some images from that fun evening.

Monica and Sebastian Beach Wedding

Last weekend, we got to go down to Galveston to witness Monica and Sebastian tie the knot.  The day was absolutely perfect for a wedding. The clear blue sky made for an amazing backdrop for pictures on the beach and around the sand dunes.  The ceremony was at a church and then the reception was at a beach house!! Everyone changed into something a little more casual for the reception so it was very laid back and relaxing!!  We got so much time to play with the whole wedding party at the beach, something that the wedding day itinerary doesn't always allow.  All in all the, the wedding was a blast to shoot.  Here are some fun images from that day!!
