Stephanie and Alan Flint Wedding

This past weekend, we had our last wedding for this calendar year. It was Stephanie and Alan's wedding at St. Paul's Catholic Church and then the reception at Marriott Hotel Medical Center. Immediately after the ceremony, we took the whole wedding party to a marina in the Clear Lake area to have some fun. I've always want to take some pictures on a pier somewhere so this was the perfect opportunity. The girls were such troopers. The planks on the pier were pretty gappy and their heels were getting stuck in them so they all had to walk very very slowly. Luckily we didn't lose anyone into the water there. We finished there and then went to their suite at the hotel and took some more creative romantic shots of them together and we got a little crazy. Stephanie was game so we propped her onto the table in the room and came out with some really cool shots.
Hope you like them!! I'm so happy to finish off the year with such a great wedding!!

Meredith and Mike's Wedding

Last Friday night, we had Meredith and Mike's wedding. I've known Meredith for several years now through the Club Monkey volleyball league we played in several years ago. As many of my friends know, I'm a avid volleyball player and still play quite a bit whenever time permits. Anyways, it was really cool seeing one of my friends get married. Mike and meredith seems so right for each other. Of course, some of our mutual friends were also at the wedding so it was a little reunion of some sort. It was really cool.
The wedding was a lot of fun as they both are so laid back and just amazingly easy to work with. Here are some of the pictures from that night and as always, check out our Facebook album more images.

Being Thankful

There are times in the year where we can look back and say, "Wow, I'm so blessed and lucky to be where I'm at." I have amazing supportive people in my life that make life worth living. I'm thankful for my health, without it, I could not wake up each morning excited about what I get to do everyday in my life. I've been blessed with an amazing girlfriend that keeps me humble and laughing all the time. (She's so silly and very accident prone. Bless her heart) My family is awesome as always. This next couple of months is going to be very very interesting times. I just moved into a new house and have a couple of new business ventures that will be starting soon that are extremely promising. I have everything in the world to be thankful for and I can honestly say I walk around almost everyday with a big goofy grin on my face. Hopefully it's contagious, not like the swine thingy that's going around....

Today I get to go to my mom's house for the first of three or four meals Krystal and I are going to partake in today. Then we are heading to one of my best friends for some more munchies and then Krystal's parents in the 'berg and hopefully not eating too much more. After which, I should take a 5 hour nap but instead I'm taking my younger sisters to the galleria for their annual lighting and fireworks ceremony. It's an annual tradition and the fireworks are really cool!! It's going to be bit chilly tonight so bundle up!!

Have a great thanksgiving.

Edwin and Raquel's Wedding

It's been like a week now that I've last posted to the blog. I've been moving and my DSL has been down and still is down. Luckily my neighbors allow me camp onto their wifi. ( They don't know this though) Getting my house in order and fixing all the little things in the house is a full time job, and trying to run a business is tough. Not much sleep lately. I think I'm in need of some energy to get me through the Thanksgiving meals. (B12 anyone??)
I still don't have a fridge in my house yet, it's been about 9 days since I moved in. It's funny how you take for granted having a fridge and the ability to store food overnight. Everything I cook, I have to eat that night. I guess it's been a good excuse to go out and eat more...hehehe
Anyways, here are images from Raquel's and Edwin's wedding. More images are available on my facebook Album.
Have a safe Thanksgiving.
P.S. I will try to brave the shopping chaos and try to take advantage of the sales and get me a snazzy fridge. I can't say I've ever looked forward to Black Friday like I do now. I might even be crazy enough and go super early in the morning to make sure I get the fridge I want!! Now only if I can figure which one I want!!

Moving to new House!! - Christmas Card special

Since the cruise, I've been so busy with moving!! As some of my closest friends knows, I just recently bought another house and this last weekend moved the new place. Of course I'm only scratching the surface on getting the house prepped in time to have clients come over without it looking like a disaster zone. It's a much bigger space, actually 2500 sq. ft, all for me!! The gallery is going to be much bigger as well as the shooting space is much bigger. For those that had the pleasure of shooting in my old studio, you can remember that is was quite cramped and a little hot at times with all the lights and heat. When all things are set up I will send out some pictures.

My new studio address is 3306 Westwick Drive, Houston, TX 77082.

Mexico Cruise

Me and Krystal on the beach in Cozumel. Doesn't the water look amazing!??

I went on a Carnival Cruise last week for 5 days to Mexico. I got to attend some seminars about networking and social media marketing from some of the best marketers in the wedding business. Although there were some seminars during the cruise, the other 5 days were spent relaxing and eating ridiculous amounts of food. I think I will have to fast for the next two months to lose some of this weight I'm sure I gained. My girlfriend and I got to spend lots of time together enjoying the perfect weather we got the whole trip. We got a lot of sun!!
I met some really great vendors on the trip that I will definitely keep in touch with. I finally met Chris Wineinger. I really liked his work and have seen him many times at the Bridal Extravaganza but never got to meet him. His fiance Jasmine is super sweet and so funny. We had an awesome to hang out with and party during the cruise. On the day we docked in Cozumel, I led several brave souls on a scooter tour of the whole island where we rode to 5 different beach resorts around the edge of the island. The far side of the island where most tourists don't visit looks like the North Shore of Hawaii, according to Krista, that is. I've never been myself. Maybe one day. But I digress. So it was an awesome day and overall an awesome trip.
here are some pictures from that trip. Me and the crazy girls I hung out with during the cruise and our $18 coconuts! What an awesome bunch!!

Patchin and Justin's Wedding - October 24, 2009

I don't think you could get better weather to get married in. We had an outdoor ceremony at the Rainbow Lodge. That was my first time at the Lodge to shoot a wedding and I really like it a lot. They have a huge back deck with stairs and beautiful landscaping to provide an amazing backdrop for pictures. Here are a couple pictures but find the rest on our Facebook album!

Kymmie and Ron

Wow, this weekend's weather was absolutely gorgeous! I wish all weekends were like this. Wait, it's like that in California all the time!! But I digress. One of my really good friends for the last 8 years since I've moved back to Houston, Kymmie is getting married on Nov 7th. Unfortunately I will not be able to be there for her wedding as I'm already booked for another wedding. I did however have the privilege of doing her engagement pictures. Her new man, Ron, is so great for her. I've never seen her so happy. It's great to see your friends find that special someone that makes them giggle all the time. Anyways, here are some images from that session!!
Oh and here's the slideshow of the images from that session!!
