Bridal Extravaganza
Wow, I've made it through another bridal show unscathed!! This bridal show took a whole lot more set up and preparation than previous shows. My awesome friend Samantha, from SoireeBliss, help me form the vision for this year's booth. I wanted a cleaner look and more dramatic than the curtains as the backdrop from previous shows. I spent that last week prior to the show constructing the panels and my tireless girlfriend helped me set it up and take it down multiple times in my studio to make sure it would work. Although we ran into a couple snags, over all it was a success.
here is a picture of the booth. I got a lot of compliments on it!!! Hopefully it caught the attention of brides and passerby's.
The show was interesting this time because there were a lot of brides getting married this coming spring that haven't booked a photographer. It seems that brides have been waiting longer to book their vendors for their wedding, most likely due to the economy. I think with the recession, people are not booking vendors as far in advance as they used to. Last year, most of my brides booked 9 months or more ahead of the wedding day! This year, I've been getting inquiries for April Weddings!! I'm sure the brides are not any less stressed than I would be if I didn't have a lot of my wedding already planned!!
Anyhoo, I hope to put up a slideshow of my favorite images of 2009 soon!! I hope to get that up this week!! I'm excited to get that done!!
Til next time.
