Crawl for the Cure

The last couple of weeks have been filled with lots of consultations.  I've done several events recently that I wanted to share.

I've been volunteering for several years now for American Cancer Society by donating my photography to cover several of their annual fundraising events. One of the big events each year is the Starlight Gala, which will be May 8th this year.  These events are organized exclusively by young professionals that volunteer their time and skills to put on this production.  They work tirelessly to put on several events to raise money leading up to the Starlight Gala.  This year they had a Crawl for the Cure and they will be putting on a Fashion Show, which will be on March 4th at the Alden Hotel.

This last weekend, my friend Kerry and her troupe of girls organized the Crawl for the Cure for about 250 people to hop around the bars on Washington.  People got dressed up in themed outfits, which made the day much more amusing.  They raised a total of $8000 from that event, with the help of the sponsor bars' beer and liquor donations to the pub crawlers. Nothing wrong with partying and drinking for a good cause, oh and getting to dress up is just a bonus!! Needless to say everyone had a great time.
A shout out to all those volunteers.  You rock!
